The modern built environment contributes to the environmental crisis we are experiencing today and threatens both our psychological and spiritual well-being. I believe that the built environment reinforces our separation from nature partly because of its interface. Indeed, switches, faucets and electrical outlets gives us a very limited view of the system through which we acquire the natural elements we consume. My thesis work adresses our perceived disconnect from nature by creating more visible and engaging relationships with our natural resources.
